As one of the national forms, democracy originated from ancient Greece, the model of which was the democratic politics of the city-state of Athens. As the cradle of western democratic politics, the democratic politics was firstly created by Athens and was of great historical advancement,as far as the historical background was concerned.However, set in the period of slavery society at that time and confined by the times and class, there existed lots of defects and flaws in such aspects as the constitution of citizens, institutional decision-making and operational practice in the democracy of Athens, therefore continuously criticized by people afterwards.
