两性关系是人类社会各种关系中最基本的关系，两性和谐是社会和谐的重要组成部分。在推动两性和谐发展的历史进程中，科技革命在其中起到关键的作用。这种关键作用表现为，近代科技革命产生之前，人类社会普遍认可一种以男性占主导的女性依赖男性为特征的“男强女弱”的“依赖和谐”。而近代科技革命的到来却打破了传统的性别的分工，科技革命也带来了观念的变革，随着科学、民主意识的日益深入人心，女性有了获取知识的欲求，在斗争中逐步获得受教育的权利、冲破了“女子无才便是德”的陈腐观念，开始走出家庭，走向社会，走进工作岗位，改变了社会工作青一色由男性承担的局面，在政治上、经济上日益获得与男子同等的权益，几千年的传统性别平衡被打破了，传统的两性关系发生了根本的动摇。不但如此，在新的社会结构中，两性的作用对比出现分层和分化，近代科技革命破除“依赖和谐”藩篱的桎梏，把两性关系带进“独立和谐”的新阶段；斗转星移，现代科技革命势头迅猛，通过厨房革命、信息技术革命和生育技术革命等多种途经，引发了男女两性的生产方式、生活方式、交往方式、思维方式等诸方面令人瞠目的变化，进一步推动两性关系的“独立和谐”向纵深发展。人类社会是从必然王国走向自由王国的，在人类未来的社会中， 科技革命将会促进男女两性的全面发展，为“自由和谐”的两性关系铺平道路。最终，人类社会必将会实现两性的“自由和谐”。

Gender relationship is the most basic one among all kinds of relationships in human society, and gender harmony is an important component of social harmony. In the historical process of promoting the development of gender harmony, the scientific and technological revolution played a key role, which is reflected as follows: before the modern scientific and technological revolution, human society generally recognized the "dependent harmony" characterized by the predominance of male and dependance of female. However, the modern scientific and technological revolution not only broke the traditional idea of gender roles, but also changed the definitions of masculinity and femininity. With the increasing popularity of science and democratic awareness among people, women acquired the desire to obtain knowledge, gradually won the right of being educated by struggling, and broke through the outworn idea that a woman with virtue is one without abilities. They began to go out of family and into the society to pursue their careers, which changed the situation of men undertaking all social work, and gradually gained equal rights as men in politics and economy.
The traditional balance between genders which had lasted for thousands of years has been broken. The traditional gender relationship has also been shaken radically. Further more, in the new social structure, the contrast between the roles of genders has shown stratification and differentiation. The modern scientific and technological revolution broke the limitation of "dependant harmony", and brought gender relationship into a new stage of "independent harmony". As times changed, the fierce modern scientific and technological revolution caused an amazing transformation in the way of production, of life, of communication, and of way of thinking in men and women, by more means then, for example, revolution in the kitchen as well as those in information technology and reproductive technologies, thus further promoted the development of depth of "independant harmony" between genders. Human society is bound to get pass the kindom of necessity and reach the kindom of freedom. In the future human society, the scientific and technological revolution will promote the overall development of men and women, and pave the path for "freedom harmony" in gender relationship. Ultimately, human society will inevitably achieve "freedom harmony" between genders.
